by Stephanie

As we wrap up the year, I've been looking back on the best wedding trends of 2014 (like this post on the best wedding dresses of 2014). Because there was so many great new and unique wedding trends that cropped up in 2014, I'll be wrapping up each type of trend with the BOW (best of wedding) awards. Cute, right?

Today, let's take a look back at the best bridesmaid dress looks of 2014. This was a big year for unique for unique bridesmaid style, with the bridal party stepping out in surprising colors, unexpected combinations, and LOTS of sparkle. Keep a wary eye on these chic looks, brides! Which trend will inspire your bridesmaid look in 2015?

It was a big year for jewel tones! With bridesmaids in rich and flattering shades of emerald, sapphire and plum, these gorgeous jewel tone bridesmaid dresses proved there really IS a color out there that will look good on all your bridesmaids.

While pastels seem like the natural bridesmaid shade go-to for weddings, these bridesmaids were able to take pastel shades and make them feel fresh and pretty again.

Who says that bright, bold colors have no place in a wedding? These bridesmaids proved tradition oh-so-wrong with these bold shades that flattered every bridal party member and provided a surprisingly delightful pop of color.

It's official: 2014 was the year of the sparkle. With bridesmaids showing off in shades of silver, gold and bronze, shimmering dresses were all the rage this past year. And for good reason! The glam touch these sparkly shades bring to the overall wedding look makes quite the statement.

My favorite new trend of 2014: bridesmaids in bold prints! That's right: weddings aren't just about solid and pastel colored dresses. Brides and bridesmaids were mixing it up with unexpected and fun printed dresses, and it looked SO amazing.
